RE: Holding Tanks Treatments...

I've been using the same method as JimfromVirginia for 3 years and like others have said we use alot of water and don't dump until almost full. No odor....I'd say I get 80% breakdown......we don't use any specil TP.....sensors work as well as can be expected concidering their environment. I also have the venturri device on my vents. As for the expense I use whatever detergent I can get at the Dollar store for a buck and even occasionaly fine the Calgon there also. Easy, cheap and it works well for us. John

RE: winter Campgrounds S. Virgina/N North Carolina

sunline1, We just found a very nice campground in North east NC. It's North River Campground in Shawboro, NC. on Garrington Island Rd. They have 70 plus very large sites (4 pull throughs), big rig friendly, 50 amp. and full hookup. All sites overlook a 5 acre lake. It's 14 miles from Elizabeth City, NC and 40 miles from the outer Banks and only an hour from the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area. Enjoy John.

RE: Want to buy a rv lot in Texas

Llano Grande in Mercedes is the sister park to Victoria Palms and is very nice. They do sell lots.....appox. 30K for a 42'/72' deeded lot with palms, orange and grapefruit trees. Come on down, where ever you pick you'll love it. We bought last year. John

RE: Snowbirds - what are we going to do about next year??

Quick math, 3000 mile round trip (for me) to RGV (I get appox. 8 mpg) last year at appox. $3/gal we spent appox. $1125 on fuel. This year at let's say $4.50/gal works out to appox. $1688. That's an increase of $564. I think with very little effort I can save $564 this summer....sooooo, I'll see you all in RGV by Jan 09.

RE: How is Llano Grande in the RGV?

I totaly agree with those that like Llano Grande, DW and I liked it so much this year that we purchased a lot on the North side. clspds, quit possibly the 8 or 10 empty spots you saw were owned lots. Once the lots are purchased (North side only) the resort no longer can rent them. The owner can sublet....we currently have friends on ours. It's my understanding that appox. 50 lots have been sold. anyway DW and I truly love the resort........another benifit, if you purchase a lot you get 5 years free golf, maybe my game will improve. Ha! See youm all next winter, John

RE: Christmas

DW love's her tree. We've always had a real cut tree and DW has always said if we get an artificial tree she'll put artificial presents under it. So, last year we bought a $60 cut tree and cut the top 3 foot out and had it decorated on the steering wheel table. This year I talked her into a 3 foot artificial.....my guess is I'll end up with artificial presents!! LOL John

RE: Winterizing a 2003 Coachmen Aurora

ross ****ry there is a plug on the rifhthand side of the pannel. You remove this plug and install a short lenght of hose (one came with my coach), then with the valves lined up for winterize you insert this hose in the pink stuff and run the water pump until you get pink stuff out of each sink, the shower and toilet. Hope this works. John

RE: coachmen cross country

Good morning all. We just finished a 4 month 8000 mile trip around the U.S., Norfolk VA to Seattle WA via Northern route and Seattle back to Notfolk via the Southern route, with no issues in our 2005. I highly recommend the coach.....as other have said any coach can have issue. We've been extremely luckly and are enjoying ours. I'd buy another. Good luck with your choice. John

RE: 7.5 kw onan generator

Did not see any cats or squirrels around. We were at the KOA in Fort Smith, AR....What do you think this might have to do with the situation.

7.5 kw onan generator

Last night while sitting around watching TV the generator kicked on by itself and the TV went off. We have a 2005 Coachmen Sports Coach. We were plugged into a 50 AMP service and had no disruption of service. We do not have the auto start generator... Has anyone experienced this?
